Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Push Instant Notifications LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Event Messages application and the websites we operate and this site (together, the “Service”).
Information we collect
Information you provide.
- Account information โ your email address, a password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider), and a mobile phone number that we verify by sending you a one-time SMS code.
- Profile information โ your name (first and last), used to identify you within the Service.
- Content you post โ if you are an event organizer or a designated writer, the update messages you post to an event, stored together with your name as the author. These records are part of an event's history and are retained as an append-only log.
- Payment information โ if you create paid events, your payment card is collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We retain only a Stripe customer identifier and limited card metadata (such as the card brand and last four digits).
Information collected automatically.
- Push notification tokens โ device identifiers issued by the mobile push service so we can deliver event updates to your device.
- Subscription and usage records โ the events you subscribe to and related data necessary to operate the Service and deliver the notifications you have asked to receive.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the Service, including delivering event updates as push notifications.
- To create and secure your account and to verify your phone number.
- To process payments for paid events.
- To send account-related messages, such as password-reset emails.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Google Firebase โ authentication, database, cloud functions, and push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Stripe โ payment processing for paid events.
- An SMS provider (used through Firebase) โ to send phone-verification codes.
- An email delivery provider โ to send account-related emails.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.
SMS messages
We send SMS messages only to verify your phone number when you sign up or change your number. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information as described below. Note that messages you posted to an event are part of that event's record and may be retained as part of the event history.
Security
We use reputable infrastructure providers and protect information in transit using encryption. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may access or update your profile and phone number within the app, and you can turn off push notifications in your device settings. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and residents of the EEA and the UK have rights under the GDPR, including rights to access, correct, delete, and port your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We will honor these rights as required by applicable law.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
